THE HEART OF A SEMINARIAN

A Roman Catholic Seminarian opens up his Heart and shares the Faith he Loves.

About me

Blogger:
Name: Deacon Kevin Muniz
I am a Seminarian for the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois studying to become a Roman Catholic priest. I created the blogs “THE HEART OF A SEMINARIAN” and “JUST ASK THE QUESTION” for no other reason than to share the Faith that I love and continually learn more about the Will of God that I search. Thank you for visiting my blogs.

NEWS AND NOTES

·        Back at the Seminary: Classes started this week and now I am trying to get back into school mode after being in a parish all year.  So far, it looks like it will be a great year.

·        Classes: To all of those interested, I am taking Contemporary Papal History, Advanced Homoletics, Issues in Pastoral Counseling, Johannine Literature, Triune God, and World Religions.  Plus, I will be writing my thesis this year too.

·        First Light Methodist Church: A couple weeks ago, I visited my cousin Steven Blair again in Gardner, Kansas.  As some of might know, he is a Methodist minister and doing an amazing job.  Starting from the ground up, he has done so many great things in his first 2 years there.

·        Golf: I have gone golfing 3 times this past month and did not lose my temper.  Personally, I am proud of this accomplishment; it was not easy.

·        Future Posts: In the future, I might be having different types of posts.  Hopefully, I can keep this updated and you enjoy it.

·        Reading: Recently, I have just finished The Rhythm of Life by Matthew Kelly.  Now, I have begun Mass Confusion by James Akin.  I am thinking of doing posts on the books in the future, but no promises.

·        Next Sunday’s scripture.  Just click it.

What else?  Any questions or comments?

JUST ASK THE QUESTION has been UPDATED

In this new blog of mine titled JUST ASK THE QUESTION, I have set up a forum for people of different churches to discuss and ask questions to better understand each other’s faiths.  The other people involved with this blog are ministers and members of different Christian churches who answer different questions about their faith. Click here to check it out.

Here are the churches that have responded to the following questions so far:

Baptism: Catholic, Baptist, Non-Denominational, Presbyterian

Dialogue: Catholic, Baptist, Non-Denominational, Presbyterian

Introduction: Catholic, Baptist, Non-Denominational, Presbyterian
